Dear Diary,
Well I left Maycomb yesterday, but I'll see Scout and Jem next summer. My last adventure at Maycomb was really scary. We tried to see Boo Radley. We went in through the back yard. At first we tried lookin through the window, but we couldn't see anything. We went to the back window instead. Right when Jem was bout to look in the window, me and Scout saw a shadow. We stood real still, then it just went away. That's when we decided to run. Scout tripped on the way out, and we heard a shot gun. We ran even faster. Then me and Scout noticed that Jem was not with us. His pants were caught in the fence. He got out, but his pants didn't make it. When we arrived back at the house, I noticed that everybody was standin outside the Radley House. We went over. It turned out that Mr. Nathan Radley was the one who shot the gun. He thought it was a negro. We had to find an excuse to tell Atticus about Jem's pants. We told him we were playing strip poker even though we don't really know what it is. I went back to Miss Rachel's house and asked Jem if he wanted to borrow a pair of my pants. He said no. I wonder if he got his pants back. I sure hope he did. I guess I'll just have to wait till next summer to find out.
